Frequently asked questions
Am I required to register my guests?
Yes. Royal Decree 933/2021 requires every tourist accommodation — including tourist rentals and country houses — to collect each traveller's details and report them to the Ministry of the Interior.
How long do I have to report them?
24 hours from when the booking is formalised. Not from check-in: from the booking. It is the most common mistake, which is why the app warns you when a report is running out of time.
What details do I need to ask each person for?
First name and surnames, document type and number, the ID card support number, date of birth, sex, nationality, full address, phone number and email. For minors, also their relationship to the person accompanying them.
Do I have to keep anything afterwards?
Yes, the document record must be kept for three years. The app stores it and deletes it automatically when the time comes, and you can still look it up even if you stop being a customer.
Do I need anything from the Ministry?
Yes: being registered with SES.Hospedajes and having web service access enabled. It is free and done on their electronic office; we explain how when you set up your home.
Do guests have to install anything?
No. They open a link on their phone and fill in their details. No apps, no accounts to create.
